It's about time?
Alright, so I've been commenting like crazy for a bit & in the meantime, I've narrowed all my random, obssessive name collecting into 2 short lists. I have a stepson (who lives w/us) named Logan Allen & my daughter is Amelia Drew. In an ideal world, I'd like to have one more boy & one more girl. so with that in mind, which (if any) of these names do you like & which ones would make a good sibset w/Amelia & Logan? (& each other...) Also, any mn suggestions would be welcomed. :)
Girls:
Aeris Brynn, Aeirs Nicole, Aeris Margaret, Aeris Matilda, Aeris Paige
Eleanor Margaret (nn Ellie)
Tessa Louise, Tessa Lianne, Tessa Margaret (nn or possibly fn Tess)
Matilda Elise (nn Mattie?)
Thea ( Ok, so I really like this but feel it's 'unfinished. could I possibly use it as a nn for Cynthia? if I could should I spell it 'Cynthea' or is that just a gross bastardization of a name for the sake of forcing a nn?)
Thora (nn Tori)
Anastasia (nn Tasha)
Brenna Aeris
Moira
Athena Lucy, Athena Joy
Mary-Claire
Anneliese
Annabelle Leigh, Annabelle Iris

these are the only boys names I've picked that my hubby will consider (and the last 3 I'm not even sure of...). I refuse to show him the girls names as I change them a little more frequently (I have a terrible time with boys names.) Let me not even tell you what I had to do to get my husband to agree to the name Amelia... anyway.
Boys:
Declan Brady, Declan Kyle, Declan Vincent
Mason Vincent
Cody Mason
Gavin Jake, Gavin Liam
Lachlan Gray
Seamus
Hunter
Gage
(ok so here are the ones I liked but my husband vetoed already)

I like the name Declan, your combinations are all fine, but I dont think Declan Vincent sounds as good as the others.
I really like the rest of your boys names too, I kind of like the name hunter, but I really dont like hunting, so it ruins it for me haha.

I'm a bit weird on Gage myself, but it's one of the ones my husband actually likes (figures). Liam is his cousin so he refuses that one (one of my all time faves). and Gavin would have been my dd's name if she was a boy. but then it seemed like it was getting way popular & I got turned off from it...
we'll see how I feel when I'm pregant again. :)

Tessa Louise, Tessa Lianne, Tessa Margaret - Tessa is lovely with the other kids names.
Thea - I love it. I'd use it as short of Theodora/Theadora
Brenna
Annabelle Leigh - See the poem Annabel Lee (http://bau2.uibk.ac.at/sg/poe/works/poetry/annabel.html) by Poe. Though it always sounds like "and a belly" to me.
Iris
Alice
Annika
Boys: Cody and Gage are the only ones I don't like. I'm surprised to see that your husband mostly nixed the conventional ones and approved the most unusual choices. That's kind of cool! Usually men play way too safe with male names imo.

and I wondered if anyone would notice the Annabelle thing. my mn is Leigh so I kind of thought it was funny (I know, my kid probably wouldn't once she heard of the poem *sigh* damn kids. lol)
I like Theadora but for 2 things: 1 I'm sure my husband will hate it, simply bc I like it (not in a mean way) and 2. I'd be deathly afraid of her being nn Dora by other people (I HAAATTEEE Dora the Explorer. it's kind of strange how bad I hate it...)
and yeah, he likes more unusual names but with no consideration of how it will be for the kid to actually HAVE the name. he wanted to name my daughter Eithne (prn Enya/Ainya) or Saoirse (prn Searsha), both Gaelic names. but only if they were spelled the original (not phoenetic) way. I'm like "no one will ever pronounce or spell those right EVER." his next choice was Tristan, but to me that's a boy name. oh well. :)

Eleanor Margaret - gorgeous name, not sure about the sibset. This is kinda traditional compared to your other names.
Tessa Louise - my fave combo for this name
Matilda Elise - I like Mattie and I like Elise, but I don't like Matilda.
Thea - incomplete to me too, and Cynthea is just wrong. What about Althea, Theana, Athena or a two-name first name, like Thea Rose?
Thora - Love this. Pair with a long MN, like Josephine or Louise
Anastasia (nn Tasha) - not my style at all, not really a good match
Brenna Aeris - Brenna I like. Aeris I hate.
Moira - I hate this name. It's impossible to pronounce.
Athena Lucy, Athena Joy - Athena Joy definitely. Thea would work for this name.
Mary-Claire - no way
Anneliese - Love this name.
Annabelle Leigh, Annabelle Iris - Pretty darn poetic, unlike the other names
Arielle - not my style. It's ok.
Josephine - LOOOOVE THIS NAME! I was suggesting this for middle names before I even saw it on here.
Lillith Paige (nn Lilly) - Like it
Iris - like it
Myra (or Mayra) Nicole - Meh
Brynn - LOVE IT. Long MN, again. Brynn Louise, Brynn Matilda
Bronwen Olivia - Like it.
Lianne - sounds trashy to me. Don't know why.
Chelsea - not at all
Caroline - LINE or LIN? Like them both...not sure they fit though
Aine Gwen - ew
Alice - nms
Annika - not your style lol
Sasha - I have Russian heritage, so this is semi-masculine to me. It doesn't fit.
Lindsey - fits, but kind of on the plain side

Boys:
Declan Brady, Declan Kyle, Declan Vincent - ew. No way.
Mason Vincent - Meh.
Cody Mason - Love it
Gavin Jake, Gavin Liam - Gavin Liam sounds very trendy. But cool
Lachlan Gray - I like this a lot
Seamus - meh
Hunter - meh
Gage - love it
(ok so here are the ones I liked but my husband vetoed already)
Cullum Joseph
Brady
Jake
Liam - love this
Noah - adore this
Carter - adore this (Noah Wyle's character!)
Evan Liam
Ian

- you know it's funny that you say that... my Grama's older sister was Amelia & so I've always considered that traditional. somehow it's gotten 'trendy'. and Logan, I had no choice over since I wasn't around when his Mom named him. but I don't dislike his name.
Annika - not your style lol - good point. lol
Athena Lucy, Athena Joy - Athena Joy definitely. Thea would work for this name.
(note: I do agree that Cynthea is a bad idea, I was just trying to make it match for the sake of Thea. dumb. I should & do know better than this.)I'm kinda liking the Thea nn for Athena idea. thanks :)

Iris Brynn, Iris Lily, Iris Belle... sooo many pretty choices :)!
When it comes to your boys names you hubby veoted the best ones... the only two I like from the 'unveoted' list are "Lachlan" ("Lach" is a great nn) & "Gage"

'course I hate 90% of the boys names out there too so I can't really say.
thx for the mn suggestions for Iris. :)

Aeris - don't really care for Aeris, but I'd go with Margaret as the mn
Eleanor Margaret - love Eleanor
Tessa Louise - very pretty
Matilda Elise (nn Mattie?) - LOVE Matilda. Mattie/Maddy is very overdone as a nn, though.
Thea - i've heard this as a fn before, but I like it more as a nn and Cynthia would be a good one.. but def NOT Cynthea :/
Thora (nn Tori) - don't like, reminds me of Thor too much
Anastasia (nn Tasha) - LOVE Anastasia but I HATE the nn Tasha. Reminds me of a dog.
Brenna Aeris - yuck
Moira - never liked this one
Athena Joy - lovely!
Mary-Claire - cute, I love Mary
Anneliese - nms but its okay
Annabelle Leigh - pretty
Arielle - LOOOOVE
Josephine - pretty
Lillith Paige (nn Lilly) - very pretty
Iris - pretty but I prefer it as a mn
Myra (or Mayra) Nicole - nms
Brynn - no no on
Bronwen Olivia - I reeeally don't like Bronwen
Lianne - don't like
Chelsea - its okay
Caroline - nice
Aine Gwen - huh? whats Aine?
Alice - very pretty
Annika - don't like
Sasha - again reminds me of a dog
Lindsey - okay
Declan Kyle - love Declan!
Mason Vincent - its okay
Cody Mason - okay
Gavin - don't like the mn's.
Lachlan Gray - don't like
Seamus - probably my least favorite boys name ever. all I see is semen.
Hunter - don't like
Gage - don't like
no subject
I really *don't* like Cynthea for Thea either. I'm not big on really Kreative spellings, I just was hoping it would close the gap for the nn. ;/
and you've officially turned me off from Seamus forever. lol which is ok bc I don't like it THAT much in the first place. ;)

Okay = Mason, Arielle, Josephine, Anastasia
Bad = Aeris, Brenna, Matilda, Moira, Lachlan, Myra, Gage
Very Bad = Bronwen, Declan, Seamus, Cullum, Brynn, Aine

How is Aeris pronounced? Like air-is?? I think beautiful classic names would go really nicely with Amelia and Logan. I like Elenor, Tessa, and Thea (which, to me, doesn't seem incomplete. but you could always have it short for Theadora). What about Thea Elise or Thea Nicole? I also like Annabelle, which is especially lovely with Iris. My cousin is Annabel Zoe (and I am Lauren Annabel). Iris seems to go with a lot of middle names:
Iris Nicole
Iris Brynn
Iris Margaret
Iris Matilda
Iris Annabel
Iris Olivia
I also like Mtra Nicole, and Bronwen Olivia is a really nice combo.
Sorry this is such a long comment, good luck!

As for the boys names, I like Hunter and Mason.
