I'm Rachel. But I realllyyyy don't love that. I don't know, most peple at least feel good about THEIR names, but me... ehh not so much. My mom and I have talked about me wanting to change it, and she actually said we'll see. So, I might as well come up with some solid ideas.

I Like the names
Chloe
Eden
Jadyn
Anna (Ahna)
Danielle

and plenty more. But I don't want to use something on me that I'd want for a future daughter. So I've got a pick under the cut, tell me what I look like? I like a ton of different kinds of names, so new stuff, old stuff, anything. Even funky spelling. Go wild hunns.

btw... don't take my hair color into consiteration, it's blonde right now, but I'm doing red soon hopefully. And I know that won't be forever eaither.

My opinion.

This isn't what you wanna hear but I think Rachel is a beautiful, classy name.

And I have an unusual name (Annika) even though babies are getting that name lately, but in the 80s and when I was 14, it was NOT a common name and I was a loner and I hated it. I hated how no one could pronounce it and it was the only "foreign" name in a small Oklahoma town amongst all the Jennifers and Jessicas and Michelles.

Changing my name at 14 would've been a mistake. (And my parents were ones who DID think long and meaningful about my name). And yes I did read your above comments.

I still say...

Wait a few years.

I agree with what she said.

I have an unusual name myself and it took me a long time to get used to it and accept it.

I guess it really depends on where you're from for a name to be considered unusual. Y'see, one of my friends from Finland is named Annika and that's a pretty common name over there. As it is in Sweden (I think, not totally sure about that fact). It's also the name of Pippi Longstocking's friend (a character written by Astrid Lindgren)! ^-^

I agree with you on waiting until she's old enough to change it herself, but not everyone changes their mind! I had an unusual name growing up too (Esther) and hated it for as long as I can remember. When I was about 13 or 14 I started going by my middle name, and wound up changing it legally when I was 20 - I haven't regretted in the last 3 years (except when trying to get official documents changed, which is annoying.)

OP - Off your list I think you could carry off Eden, Danielle or A(h)n(n)a pretty well. I also like Tamsin (as suggested downthread) and I'll gift you my favourite book names - Lucy and Lyra.
