So, I am not pregnant, or TTC, but I love baby names.  When I was pregnant with my son, Dylan, we were also coming up with girls names... which we did not agree on any.  If Dylan was a girl, I wanted to name her Skyelar... and even today, if we ever do have a girl, thats what I want to name her.  I used to like Skyelar Makenzie, but he hates Makenzie... so thats out.  I don't really care about the middle name that much, but I definatly want Skyelar for a first.  Anyone have any ideas on a middle name for it?
And what does everyone think about the name Lorelai Olivia... that was his idea for a girl... I like Lorelai, just not too sure about Olivia... Thanks!

I do not like the spelling Skyelar at all. It falls into the adding unnecessary letters category for me as well. I'm ok with Skye as a name, but Skyelar just looks awkward. I DO like the name, however. I like Skylar Makenzie (Mackenzie, Makenzi, MaKenzie, MacKenzie.. however you want to spell it) a lot. Very cute. And Dylan is a great name too.

I think the E makes it harsher and less feminine. Most words drop the e at the end when you add something to it. Like wade becomes wading and fade becomes fading. The added E makes it look like it ought to have an extra syllable.
