a friend and i were trying to figure out why we disagreed so significantly on names, and we realized that the names we hate the most are the ones that have been 'tainted' because of a not-so-pleasant acquaintance with the name.

so i'm curious, what names have been 'ruined' for you?

Amy. Mainly because my bf really like this girl named Amy and she made life at university hell for him... just, really bad associations pop up in my mind with that name.

Come to think of it, I've never liked that name anyway. Possibly because I didn't like the way the character Amy Sutton changed in the Sweet Valley Twins/High/all the rest of the books about those girls. *shrugs*
