a friend and i were trying to figure out why we disagreed so significantly on names, and we realized that the names we hate the most are the ones that have been 'tainted' because of a not-so-pleasant acquaintance with the name.

so i'm curious, what names have been 'ruined' for you?

Beth/any, Shannon and Erica are the ones that jump to mind right away. I've also never met a pleasant Natalie, but I hate that name anyway, so.

I agree! I've never met a Natalie that was worth talking to in my life! And I've known several... that's so odd!
