a friend and i were trying to figure out why we disagreed so significantly on names, and we realized that the names we hate the most are the ones that have been 'tainted' because of a not-so-pleasant acquaintance with the name.

so i'm curious, what names have been 'ruined' for you?

emily. thats the only present day one i can think of. i remember hating the name shannon growing up because of a girl in my class, but all of those associations are long gone.

the boy has a bad association with the name eli, which i ADORE, so i am trying to break him of it.
