BUT .. when I first saw that product I was like, "damn that's a good name used up on an embarrassing product!" So I guess that it's a pretty good name if I actually thought that in that context lol

it's pretty. i haven't heard it before. looks like it's a hebrew name? it makes me think of the name amelia, the verb ameliorate, the french and spanish word miel (means honey, and actually used as a name on its own but not very common). all good associations to me!

Yep, it's a Hebrew name! I believe it means "God of my people", though I guess it was originally intended as a boys' name. I like it as Amielle for a girl, though.

From what I can tell, yes. It's pronounced quickly every time I've heard it IRL, so it's kinda hard to tell. But every vowel is spoken.

Well, spelled Amielle, it looks more feminine and spelling wise, I think it looks pretty. Unfortunately, saying it, it just makes me think of a sound one of my cats would make enjoying some tasty food, and I have actually heard one of my cats make a very similar sound to the word Amielle. :/

And, seeing that link posted, that would totally nix using the name for me. I would hate to be someone with that name and meet someone who knows of or uses such a device and the giggles that would come. I know I giggled. :X
