the husband and i both have a very high probability of having twins... we both have an unnaturally hefty amount of twins in our families, one generation back, so we are kind of banking on it. personally, i hope it happens, but who knows?

anyway, we were talking the other day about having twins and have come up with some names...

girls:
josephine and genevieve
(josie and eve/evie)

girl/boy:
josephine and jasper
(josie and jazz)

boys:
noah gray and jasper john

havent decided on middles yet, but one of the girls middles will be colleen, after my late mother. also, boys middles are pretty much set. we love noah gray (gray is my mothers maiden name) and john after the my husbands father, despite the whole jasper johns reference, which he didnt even know, so we will just deal with it!

just curious what you guys think?

ETA: um i seem to have deleted the post for a minute. oops.

There's a lot of twins in my family. And maternal is all that matters. Identical twins are a complete anomaly, but fraternal twins result from two eggs being released, which is usually inherited. So your husband's twins won't have anything to do if you guys end up having twins. That aside, despite all the twins on my mom's side, I'm having my third and they're all singles, thank goodness!

Besides that, I agree with the first poster, I've never been a fan of matchy names (or clothes) for twins. I find it rather annoying and unfair to the twins, just because they were born at the same time doesn't mean they aren't individuals.
