Clodagh

Pronounced Clo-duh. A woman I work with just told me the names of her daughters and this one stood out to me. I'm assuming it's Irish since she is Irish. I was intrigued at first, now I've decided I don't really like it because it's kind of hard to say out loud. WDYT?

Might it be a version of Claudia?

BabyNames says its a modern, but genuine, female name possibly related to Claudia. Hmm. Not sure about it. It makes me think of claddagh rings...

Yes, it's an Irish name. It's the name of a river in Tipperary. It's okay. I don't really like the sound of it, and it makes me think of claddagh.

I kind of like the way it sounds, but absolutely hate the way it looks.

It is Irish, like Penguiny7 said, and I absolutely love it.

Don't like it- the way it looks or sounds.

I don't like it. I like heaps of other Irish names, but this one, both in how it looks and sounds, reminds me of someone wearing big heavy clunky shoes limping around on wooden floorboards.

Seconded!
