After a lot of posts about creative names and spellings and such...

Do YOU have a creative name? Do you know someone who does? How does she/he deal with it?

The only one I can think of is a kid I work with. He goes by Jeff; that's the spelling he has on his name tag, the spelling he uses on Facebook.. the spelling I would assume he had if I hadn't seen the legal version written on the schedule: Jephthe. Oy.

I work with a Talei (TAH-lay) and my mother's name is Lo-Ann. My name isn't creative (Kayla), but it gets mistaken for Kara and even Carol when I say it over the phone, and quite often people call me Karla.
