After a lot of posts about creative names and spellings and such...

Do YOU have a creative name? Do you know someone who does? How does she/he deal with it?

The only one I can think of is a kid I work with. He goes by Jeff; that's the spelling he has on his name tag, the spelling he uses on Facebook.. the spelling I would assume he had if I hadn't seen the legal version written on the schedule: Jephthe. Oy.

I had a friend in high school named Adaeze, but went by Daisy. She is from Nigeria and it is a common name there, not just a kre8tiv spelling of Daisy...I have no idea how to pronounce it correctly, though. Teachers would stumble over it at first, but she would just say "it's Daisy" and be done with it. Her name is Daisy on Facebook, but I think she always used Adaeze on school papers and such.
