After a lot of posts about creative names and spellings and such...

Do YOU have a creative name? Do you know someone who does? How does she/he deal with it?

The only one I can think of is a kid I work with. He goes by Jeff; that's the spelling he has on his name tag, the spelling he uses on Facebook.. the spelling I would assume he had if I hadn't seen the legal version written on the schedule: Jephthe. Oy.

I have seen Savannah, but never before Savanah. Neat! What's the original spelling, do you know?

I believe the original spelling is probably Savanna. Since the name means "wide open plain" and refers to Africa. But Savannah is definitely the popular choice in spelling.

The only reason my name is spelled that way is because the nurse argued with my mom that there were too many letters in the name and already 3 A's, so 2 N's was too many and so she should drop an N. My mom said she got tired of arguing and gave in. Heck, even someone here mentioned that they didn't like all the A's.

I like it, by the way. I go for names off the "100 most popular" list, and it's one you rarely come across.
