the strangest name i have ever heard

My mom is a nurse in a hospital. One of her friends at work had a patient on Friday with a most unusual name, this is how it was spelled:

La-A.

Ladasha. Yeah. The dash in the name is pronounced "dash" within the name.

I was floored. I just sat there with my mouth open for a good 30 seconds. That is so not ok. Definitely the strangest name I have ever heard.

Seriously, one freaking day, I will use the dash in a name, and I will pronounce it like that just so that this stupid internet meme will be true.

And no one will believe you because obviously, if it's an internet joke there is certainly no one in the world who would see that name and think it's cool and name their kid that. No one. Nope. Couldn't happen. :)

I mean, really? My mom was an L&D nurse for 15 years and in that time had a woman name her daughter Meconium and Syphillis (she saw it on her chart and thought it was pretty...she pronounced in Sy-phillis). People name their babies some stupid shit.

And I am now seeing that those names are considered internet urban legands too. ::shurgs:: Oh well. My mom was there and I believe her. This was also many years ago, before the internet was something everyone had in their homes. Eh, it's funny anyway. :)
