Tell me some names you love but just can't use because nobody could pronounce them where you live. For example, you might like a really Russian name, but you live in the US and you know nobody is going to get it right. My answers are in the comments.

Are there any you love enough that you would use even though you know nobody could pronounce them right?

Seamus.

I currently live in the southern US and no one here can even manage my son's name "Liam" which is hardly difficult. Whenever I tell people his name they say, "Oh, that's interesting/different/unique." No, not really, but thanks.

I'm a Northerner living in NC, and I can definitely picture people having trouble with Seamus. But Liam? Really? Guess they're used to more British and German-sounding names.

I'd think Seamus would be fairly recognizable, but Liam? Really? But it's popular in the US even! They're everywhere! I guess just not where you live!

I'm in Texas and people have a hard time with the name Liam as well. I don't get it, at all. it's not hard to pronounce!
