Not seen that one, but wow, I'm surprised how many "C" names are thought to be bad kids. Glad I didn't want my kid to be one of those CJ/DJ/BJ/etc kids (our last name ends in J) because I'm sure it would have been a C we picked!

Also very weird that you have all these normal names, then randomly you get "Chardonnay", what the hell? Lol. :)

I thought the same thing. Normal, normal, normal, BAM Chardonnay. I think her parent's are much naughtier for naming her that to be honest:)

Chardonnay was the name of a character on a TV programme called 'Footballers Wives'. People tend to use it as an example of a classic 'chav' name.

I think it's the fact that the general trends in the UK are generally more 'normal' than elsewhere - names like Charlotte and Hannah and Rebecca have never really gone out of fashion, there was always a few in every class, and you don't tend to get nearly as many cre8tiv names here - but we have a couple. They tend to be associated with lower class thugs (so affectionately referred to as 'chavs' in Blighty) and people with no class. And Chardonnay, thanks to a trashy TV series, has become one of those token 'chav' names. Like you might use Brandy or Starla as an over-the-top example of a red-neck or a stripper name. Trouble is, some people actually use them, and apparently they have horrible kids.

as a teacher I do this... a lot... I look at my list and pin point the students out by names and my coworkers do it too... sometimes we snicker around and boy do we looove names that are spelled wrong... we tend to have a laugh to ourselves... never in front of the kids. That would not be nice since it's not their faults their parents can't spell.
