I'm having a baby boy in November, and my boyfriend and I really can't agree on anything we both like. I'm Swedish and Swiss, and he's very English.
I like the names
- Aarun
- Oskar
- Rhyder/Ryder
- Maddox
- Emette
- Oren
Any suggestions?
If we pick and English first name, then i get to chose a Scandinavian/French middle name

I agree with you about the 'h' in Ryder though. but when i showed it to non-english speaking people they pronounced it as 'Ree-der'

Date: 2009-08-22 03:35 pm (UTC)Aaron, on the other hand, is one my favorite names.
I don't mind Ryder and Oskar/Oscar, Oren is too Oreo's and Maddox is too Angelina.
Emette sounds made-up to me, and feminine.

Date: 2009-08-22 07:17 pm (UTC)I also like Jens, as another poster suggested.
Aarun is an Australian name, as far as I know, and I don't much care for it.
I don't like Oskar, but I do like Asger (it's Norse).
I like a few Norse names, Calder, Kerr and Torsten.
For Welsh names, I don't care for Maddox, I like Madoc better. I like Aeron, Pennar, Seirian and Terwyn.
Rhyder is actually pronounced RID er. I do like Ryder.
Emette is a girl's name. Emmett is a nice name, though.
Here's a few more English names you might like:
Alden, Archer, Jenner, Madden, Odon, Oran/Orran, Patten, Prescot/Prescott, Riorden, Roden, Seldon, Slayde, Tyron and Ælred.
