I love Jane, August and Simon. The rest are alright, but a little too weird for me.

Between the X and the Jane Gray I totally thought this was a list of X-Men names.

One of these things is not like the other :p

I like them. Though, I prefer Grey with an e.

Jane is ok, if a little boring.

I like Calypso, August, Simon, and Persephone.

Gray for a girl is a big no for me. It's ok for a boy.

The rest aren't my style.

Jane is extremely boring.
Gray is okay, for a boy. Also, I prefer the 'e' spelling.
I like August and Simon well enough, though I'd never use them.
I don't really care for Hermione. This name just makes me think of the Harry Potter character anyway, which, for me, isn't always a good thing (I can't decide if I like her or not).
Persephone is kind of pretty, but I can't picture it on an actual child. =/
I don't like Judas or Ulysses.
Ariadne... I'm not sure how this is pronounced. Help, please? =)

I know of a baby girl named Persephone, but she's called Sephie.

Ariadne is pronounced ar-ee-AD-nee.

I LOVE Simon, it's my second favorite boy's name. I also like Ariadne, Calypso and Gray, and Persephone is really pretty as well. Judas also has a pretty sound...but I'd never use it.

10. Jane--a little "plain jane" for me, so to speak, but not bad.
09. Gray (g)--not my style, but very evocative. I kind of like it.
08. Calypso--way too out-there for me.
07. August--which gender? I don't really like it for either.
06. Simon--BIG fan of this one. Classy and intellectual, but still accessible.
05. Judas--Oh my gosh, why not name him Satan and get it over with?
04. Ulysses--too big a mouthful, and hard to spell, and just... no.
03. Hermione--awfully Harry Potter. It's just hard to separate from that.
02. Persephone--see Ulysses. Although Persephone is prettier.
01. Ariadne--considerably more accessible than Persephone, though it will still cause some head-scratching. It's a lovely name, I do like it, I'd just have to think hard about whether it's worth it.

My favorite from this list is definitely Simon.

Yeah, I know Judas isn't really Satan, in fact I agree with most of what you said, but the name still has an overwhelming negative "I am an evil person" connotation. I wouldn't name a pet Judas, much less a human.

On the subject of August, I've learned that just because I wouldn't use a name on a girl doesn't mean other people wouldn't (Dexter, anyone?). It hardly matters, though, since like I said, I don't really like it for either. :)

Ariadne is one of my favorite names. :) I also really like Jane and Simon, and Gray on a boy.

Ulysses works as a middle name on some people.

I also like Jane and August. The rest are too mythological/Biblical for me.
