random names and how important is the meaning?

I really hope I dont have a baby soon, my favourite names change on a daily basis.  I would so be one of those parents who let their kid go nameless for a week, hehehe.

BOYS:
Tobias: God is great
Clayton: town on Clay Land
Koen: brave and gallant
Harvey: army warrior

GIRLS:
Isaura: soft air
Dagny: day, brightness, new day
Penelope: dream weaver

How important is the meaning of a name to you?  Does it really matter?

When you were growing up did you really think about it?

I was a liar in JH and SH (You would be too, who wants to tell their mom they didn't do 28 algebra assignments in a row?!) so I did think about how my name, Katherine, can mean truthful, and snicker.

I do like to know the meaning but it's generally not enough to discourage me from liking a name. My number one fave, Mara, means "bitter" - so perhaps not the best meaning but I will still use that name!
