I really hope I dont have a baby soon, my favourite names change on a daily basis.  I would so be one of those parents who let their kid go nameless for a week, hehehe.

BOYS:
Tobias: God is great
Clayton: town on Clay Land
Koen: brave and gallant
Harvey: army warrior
GIRLS:
Isaura: soft air
Dagny: day, brightness, new day
Penelope: dream weaver

How important is the meaning of a name to you?  Does it really matter?

When you were growing up did you really think about it?

THANKS : )

If I found out a name I was considering had a really horrible meaning, I might think twice about using it. But in all honestly, who really thinks about it? I mean, unless you actually do research, the average person does not know the etymology or meaning behind the names of people they know and meet. I know the meaning of my own name, and the meaning of my S/O's, and that's it. My name means 'Crown' and his means 'Handsome'. And our names are Stephanie and Kevin. I mean, honestly, if you and I met, would you really be thinking 'crown'? I know I wouldn't. It's nice to have a meaning behind it, but I think when it comes down to it, meanings are fairly insignificant.

(The exception to this being if you choose a name that is an English word, or a word in the language of your heritage.)
