Name and Characteristics

Do you ever think of certain names and picture the child? Liek not race or ethnicity necessarily but more of blue eyes blonde hair, brown eyes brown hair, dark hair with hazel eyes... etc...

Some of the names I associated with characteristics:

Gabrielle - Brown hair Brown Eyes
Liam - Boy Dark Hair, Brown or Hazel Eyes
Emily - BLonde Hair Blue Eyes
Michael - Blonde Hair Blue Eyes

I dunno its not just associations but sometimes someone will suggest a name and Ill like it and think its pretty but hesistate to use it because my kids will have blonde hair and blue eyes and not brown hair brown eyes like I associate the name with...

Like the name Natalie

I love this name and want to use it for my daughter but i dunno..

Does anyone else ever have this tendancy?

I definitely associate certain names with certain characteristics. In fact, I actually associate Gabrielle and Liam with blonde hair and Emily and Michael with dark. Hmmm.

I was sure my son would have dark hair; and, when I picked his name (Henry), I was picking a name I thought would match his characteristics. He turned out nothing like what I pictured. And, of course, he has blonde hair.

Natalie is a really pretty name...
