how would you pronounce Keighly?

At first i read Kay-lee, then Ky-lee...then after some more pondering i decided that if you put an l in front of eigh it makes 'Lee'- so therefore it would be Kee-lee?

ETA:I read the name in a book- unfortuantely it was the main character's name and i spent a couple minutes going 'whhaaat?' before i decided on a pronunciation lol.

My guess would be kay-lee

My first thought was kay-lee, because it made me think of "eight." Then again, my sister's middle name is Leigh, prn. Lee, so either way would work.

My first instinct was Ky-lee... but I could see how any of those three pronunciations would make sense. All that aside, I think it's a horrible name. :\

My mind went with Ky-lee at first glance.

Kay-lee at first, then Kee-lee thinking about it.

I thought Ky-lee. But either way, something that requires this much thought shouldn't be given as a name!

I thought Ky-lee. Or uh, thought Kay-lee then Ky-lee. I think I stuck with "Ky-lee" because it looks/seems in my head sort of like Keira Knightley smooshed into one name. The "eigh" could just as well be "ay" like in "eight" (or name wise.. Peighton?).

The eigh has been ee sounding lately so it could be Key-ley.

But I'm assuming Kaylee, like eigh in sleigh.

I said kee-lee first, but then I thought it could have been kay-lee, because I've seen Katie/Caitlin spelt Keighty/Keightlynn, so... I don't know.

I first said Key lee. It could be Kay lee, maybe Ky lee, maybe even Kelly.

It looks like it could be 'Kay-lee'...but judging by the spelling, it was probably supposed to be 'Kee-lee.' Why not just spell it Keely? Sheesh.

I'd say KAY-lee. If you think about it, -eigh only makes an ee sound in the name Leigh. Every other word I can think of it doesn't-- such as height and weight. But because of Leigh people think they can stick eigh places and it ought to make an ee sound. Doesn't make sense to me. At least this was a character's name and not a real person's!

Oh yes, and sleigh. It should be AY. Makes the most sense to me.

I first thought "Kee-ley"

Well, I'd rhyme it with Leigh and go with Kee-lee.

Though there's a town near where I'm from called Keighley, which is actually pronounced keef-lee. The -gh makes an "f" sound like in enough.
