How would you spell Noel to make it rhyme with Lowell and have people know it's a boy not a girl or a holiday :-p.

Ok I'm confused. Is Lowell pronounced like "lo-well" (2 syllables) or does it rhyme with "coal" ? I thought it would be Lo-Well until people seemed to be replying as though it was one syllable... :S

I've heard Nole, and maybe Noel (without the dots) if you want it to be pronounced with one syllable. But if you're wanting two syllables then maybe Noell? I'm not sure.

How does everyone pronounce the name Joel? For me it rhymes with coal...and it's spelled like Noel. Nole is probably the least ambiguous though.
