We had a new camper added to our roster today for next week. I am split on how I feel about her name: Kayleighann. My first thought was wow that's long! Part of me likes it because I'm one of those ones that likes Annaleigh and I like the spelling of Leighann (because I hate Leeann, girls I went to school with). But all together in a first name I think that's a bit much. At least it's not really creative spelling.

this coming from someone who used to like names like Amberleigh and Kimberleigh. But merging Kaylee and Leighann just doesn't work, imo.

Kaylee/Kayley/Kaylie Ann would have been just way classier, and they'd still be getting the sound they were looking for.

I agree. It sounds like a first and middle name. Kaylee (or any other forms of it) isn't my style but it's much better than Kayleighann. I can't wait to ask what her middle name is.

We tried to figure out how to combine the names Charlie (After my Grandfather Charles) and Ann (After my SO's cousin who passed of a brain tumor), and we just couldn't do it. I love the name Charleigh, so I'm holding to it as a possibility if we ever have a second daughter as her middle. :P

But no, I don't think Kayleighann (I had to look back up there to spell it, lol!) works. :P

I work with a girl named Charlie-Marie and because of her that name is ruined for me for a girl. And it's so sad because I love it! I've never seen Charleigh before but I think I like it.

A friend of mine is naming her daughter Cayley Ann. That is preferable, but still not my style. Kayleighann is just bad. I'm not a fan of the practice of smushing a couple of names together.

no, its not a kree8'yv spelling. but its like four names squished into one, which is just as bad, imo.

I LOVE Annaleigh (thought I was the only one)! But Kayleighann is way, way over the top.

It's a bit much. And, I like longer names. Just, no.

My sister's favorite girls name is Kayleigh Ann (first and middle name), but smushing them together like that is a bit much.
Personally I don't care much for Kayleigh, or most -aylee sounding names in general.

Kayleigh Ann is fine, but with it looks funny all scrunched together like that.
