Channing: boy or girl?

I used to think it should be stictly for a guy but lately have been warming up to it for a girl...

I'm surprised to see so many people saying they see it as a girl's name. The only Channing I've ever known of is Channing Tatum so I see it as a boy name, definitely. Though I have heard it much more often as the last name of women (i.e: Stockard Channing, Carol Channing) so I guess it could lean (a bit) toward being a girl's name.
