When you hear the name Chandler do you think of a boy or a girl...i have only known girls named chandler...but i know the character on friends was a guy named chandler

Ha, no, Chandler was actually one of the least annoying characters on Friends. Yes, neurotic, but realistically so and also a really loving, sensitive guy under it all.

BUT very, very often being called gay and bad with women - bad with everyone, really - so if you a have problem with those associations for your kid then, yeah, maybe it's not your best bet. He was my favourite character for sure, though!

Also, when Phoebe had those triplets for her brothers, remember they called one of the girls Chandler (originally thinking it was a boy) so I guess it works. For me it'll always be a name for a boy though.
