To me, it's not that it sounds to short necessarily, but the double 'A' sound kind of clashes a bit [Eva ending in 'a' and Ann beginning with 'a'].

Thanks.. :) I don't feel it clashes but that could be the way *I* say it, yanno? :) It probably sounds bloody terrible in reality!
