I met a girl today, nineteen or twenty, named Bronwen, or Bronwyn (I only heard it). It reminds me of Lord of the Rings, but I've never heard it before. WDYT? And which spelling do you prefer?

I can't decide which spelling I like better, but I love the name. I'm not entirely sure that I'm crazy about the meaning (it's derived from Welsh cognates meaning something like "fair breast" or "white-breasted"...I kind of go back and forth between liking it and thinking it's ridiculous), but I think it's pretty.

I knew a Bronwyn who went by Winnie.
