My cousin Talitha decided to name her daughter Shoshana Leigh. Leigh is infact pronounced Lee. Leigh is the feminine spelling. 


[And for those of you who want to debate the pronunciation of Leigh, go to behindthename.com. It doesn't show varying pronunciations, but merely "lee."]

Probably because some people want to pronounce Leigh with an "ay" sound as in neighbor, weigh, sleigh.

Shoshana is actually the Hebrew (and I believe original) form of Susan/Susanna and means "lily."

fantastic, i love it. i have a friend named shoshana and she goes by a lot of things, including shani. im sure this little one will form her own nickname in time.
