May. 17th, 2006 09:10 pmIn another comm. someone asked what everyone's favorite boy and girl names are...
sooo many people said Jordan for girls. Funny thing is Jordan is one of my favorite names for a BOY but I HATE it for a girl. Same goes for the name Bailey. Thoughts? Is anyone else like this? where you love a unisex name for one gender but hate it for the other?
also...someone said her ex-boyfriend's name is Lindsey...and while my kneejerk reaction was pretty much wtf? it's kinda growing on me now...

Date: 2006-05-18 06:58 am (UTC)There are some names that have gone so far into 'girl territory' or just absurdly popular for girls that I can only really see them as female names; otherwise I tend to prefer unisex names on boys. Particually 'surnames' and such (though Harper is 'all girl' to me as my main association is Harper Lee).
All those girls being given trendy Mc- or -son names drive me nuts, as those pre/surfixes mean 'son of', y'know as in a male child. *rolls eyes*
