My husband and I have a long surname (10 letters) so we need something elegant (and unfortunately for our unborn child, slightly long). I must confess a passion for long names.

If we have a boy:
Nicholas
Robert
James
Gavin


If we have a girl:
Nicola
Elise (short for Elisabeth)
Victoria
Lilliana (or Lillian/Lily)
Alessa (Alessandra)
Chloe (although living in the UK, we tend to get quite a few Chloe's here).

3 syllables, so quite long! Plus, my first name is 9 letters! I pity our unborn child when he/she has to first learn to write his/her name!
