just some names
Feb. 22nd, 2009 12:53 pmMy mother's family is 100% Russian. Here are the names of her siblings, nicknames in brackets. WDYT?
Luba (Lyn)
Alexandra (Shura)
Natasha (Tasha)
Boris (Rob)
Kosta
They all go by their nicknames almost exclusively. My grandparents are Valentina and Victor.
The chef at the cafe I waitressed at yesterday - Zaar. He said it was Russian, an offshoot of Tzar/Czar maybe? I thought it sounded more Middle Eastern.
