What do you think of the names:

Carolina or Carolena

Both to be pronounced as ca-row-lee-nah

Nickname would be Cara

Trying to find a spanish/latin -ish sounding name that I like. Hubby was born in Spain, and I'd like to try and find something that isn't too overly ethnic. :)

Other names we liked were,

Elena
Natalia - Can't use this because his brother used that for his last kid. :)
Isabela
I also liked Gabriella, but he didn't.

Do you have any other suggestions???

I love Carolina (I'm also a Caroline). I think it looks better with an I, and my guess is that she would have to correct people both with pronunciation and with spelling if it were spelled with an E. I would pronounce Carolena "Ca-ro-leh-na" and I definitely wouldn't think to spell "ca-ro-lee-na" with an E.
