What do you think of the names:

Carolina or Carolena

Both to be pronounced as ca-row-lee-nah

Nickname would be Cara

Trying to find a spanish/latin -ish sounding name that I like. Hubby was born in Spain, and I'd like to try and find something that isn't too overly ethnic. :)

Other names we liked were,

Elena
Natalia - Can't use this because his brother used that for his last kid. :)
Isabela
I also liked Gabriella, but he didn't.

Do you have any other suggestions???

I actually prefer that spelling as well.. but I was concerned that folks wouldn't say it correctly, and say it like the US states instead. bleh! :)

It's worth it to teach her to correct people though. I think that kind of thing is important. And she can say, "It's CarolEEna, like CarolEEna Herrera." Isn't Carolina Herrera pronounced that way?

I guess by the time she's old enough to know who that is, the designer won't be cool anymore...hehe. Oh well.
