My husband and I are trying to have a baby and we've been talking about names a lot.

I've had the name Lucy picked out for a girl since I was little. To my surprise my husband LOVES it.

It seems Lucy is becoming more trendy these days though. What do you think?

For middle names we were thinking Lucy Olivia (very trendy I know, but it sounds nice), Lucy Amelia, Lucy Emmeline. Do you have any other ideas for middle names for Lucy?

how is Lucy Olivia trendy? both of those are very classic names. I really like Lucy Emmeline too.

I said trendy but I really meant popular. Olivia is super popular but I'm thinking popular names are probably fine for middle names.

I'd buy Lucy as a classic, but Olivia is definitely trendy. See the namevoyager graph (http://www.babynamewizard.com/voyager#prefix=OLIVIA&ms=false&sw=f&exact=false). A classic name does not have such a dramatic spike.
