Jan. 30th, 2009 08:58 amMy husband and I are trying to have a baby and we've been talking about names a lot.
I've had the name Lucy picked out for a girl since I was little. To my surprise my husband LOVES it.
It seems Lucy is becoming more trendy these days though. What do you think?
For middle names we were thinking Lucy Olivia (very trendy I know, but it sounds nice), Lucy Amelia, Lucy Emmeline. Do you have any other ideas for middle names for Lucy?

Lucy Matilda
Lucy Violet
Lucy Juliet
Lucy Madeline
Lucy Annabelle
Lucy Adele
Lucy Abigail
If you're worried about Lucy seeming trendy, I'd stay away from Lucy Olivia or Lucy Emmeline. I like both names, but both seem to be trendy lately (although Emmeline is less popular, it's still super trendy).

Date: 2009-01-30 05:32 pm (UTC)Lucy Olivia is nice. I like when the super popular names are used as mns instead. There a bazillion little Olivias out there right now, but I rarely see Olivia as the mn. Lucy Amelia would actually be my personal favorite, as I love both names. But all your combos are nice.

Date: 2009-01-30 06:02 pm (UTC)I wouldn't worry about the popularity either - I live in the UK where it is top 10 popular, and although I've met plenty of Lucys, it's not common to the point where your daughter would go through her whole live being Lucy S. or whatever.
My MN picks would probably be Lucy Ellen or Lucy Alice (after my grandmothers), and I think Lucy Anna is a nice combo too.
