There are a lot of people "around me" giving birth right now. A friend just told me that her cousin had a baby. The name? Alexander Robin. Could've been worse, but it's not my style. So we chatted about the baby a bit, and then my friend suddenly said: "Oh, have I told you yet that the baby is a girl?"
I was all like: "NO WAY that kid's a girl, who would name a girl Alexander?"
But apparently, her cousin did, so she could nickname her 'Alex'. Why she didn't just use Alexandra is beyond me.
