Change of Name

Hi,

I'm not pregnant. I'm here to rename myself.

Brief History: I was named after my mother and a dead relative on her side of the family. I've never gotten along with my mother AT ALL. We haven't spoken in years. There is no chance of reconciliation. I want to move on. My name holds me to her.

So, that being said I've found quite a few names that I like. The one that has the most resonance with me is Violet Awen. The only real glitch with this name is that my last name is Graves. I like Violet Graves, I like Violet Awen Graves. I'm concerned about the initials. Do you think it really matters? How often to people really see all three initials? Does anyone have similar initials that spell something and how does it affect you, or does it?

I don't think anyone outside of babyname communities and elementary school kids still amused with their spelling ability ever think about what initials spell. Of course though if its uncomfy for you then you should look into alternatives. I second the first suggestions you could do what the first poster said and add an extra name or maybe switch the names around.

I changed my name too (though not legally, I/will have enough legal names already) so... yay for name switches. :)
