Change of Name
Dec. 23rd, 2008 07:37 pmHi,
I'm not pregnant. I'm here to rename myself.
Brief History: I was named after my mother and a dead relative on her side of the family. I've never gotten along with my mother AT ALL. We haven't spoken in years. There is no chance of reconciliation. I want to move on. My name holds me to her.
So, that being said I've found quite a few names that I like. The one that has the most resonance with me is Violet Awen. The only real glitch with this name is that my last name is Graves. I like Violet Graves, I like Violet Awen Graves. I'm concerned about the initials. Do you think it really matters? How often to people really see all three initials? Does anyone have similar initials that spell something and how does it affect you, or does it?
Thanks for any input,
Undecided.

In the process of naming my future daughter, I'm paying attention to what initials would spell, for example her middle name can't being with I, because then it would spell AIL, and that would be just bad karma, so to speak.
But VAG is not something that is intrinsically bad, so I say it's all up to how YOU feel about it.
