Between Joshua Alexander and Jordan Alexander ?

We're in Italy, so some of the pronunciations are different:
Alexander = Alek-SAHN-der
Jordan = JAWR-dahn

Last name starts with L, 3 syllables, final syllable contains double S
The settled name for a girl is Alma, middle name to be determined.

Thanks in advance for your input!

I never used to like the name Joshua, and I could never understand why it was still so popular, and then for some reason suddenly it started growing on me, and now I love it!

Joshua, by far. I HATE Jordan as anything but a last name.

I agree with the others - As names by themselves, I far prefer Joshua to Jordan. Saying the two together though, Jordan goes better, especially for the Italian prn of Alexander. So, the question then becomes, how often are you going to call him Jordan Alexander/Joshua Alexander, and how many times will it just be Jordan/Joshua? Which one of those by themselves do *you* prefer?
