Hello. New here.
I'm 11w5d pregnant currently.
I was just wondering what people's opinions are of the names I like so far.
If it's a girl:
Lavinia Irene (Lah-vin-ia) (Liv for short)
Moira (moy-ra)
Marion
I also like the name Hermia (Her-my-ah). I found it when I was looking up Hermione and it seemed like a nice alternative. It's much easier to spell and pronounce, but it does kind of remind me of "hernia".
If it's a boy: (my pregnant intuition says it's going to be)
Henry Thomas (could be called Hank or Hal when he gets older)
Olek
Jack (what is a good middle name for Jack?)
Thanks for any opinions/ suggestions!

I have to disagree about the name Jackson. Jack was my grandfather's name which is why I was thinking of using it.
Thanks for your opinions!

Thanks again! I just wanted to get the names out there and see what people think.

For the boy I think Jack is too cute. I'm not sure why, but I love it! My husband suggested Jack Daniel when we thought ours was a boy ;) What about Jack Henry or Jack Thomas? Good Luck with whatever names you decide!

I don't want to pick a name that too many people seem to like too much. I don't want to end up with a name that blows it's way up the popular name charts in a couple of years. But I also don't want something too unusual.
Thanks for your reply!

He could go with either one, if he wanted to. Hank and Hal are nicknames for Henry.
Like Bob is to Robert.
Bill to William, etcetera.

But what I meant was would you call him Hank and then just let him decide to keep it or switch to Hal?

I would call him Henry and let him pick Hank or Hal if he wanted to.

Just so I can edit the entry to maybe make more sense. It makes sense to me, but I already know what I meant.

Just like: "Today my name is ______ but tomorrow I'm going to start going by ________."
My daughter's birth name is Alexis, but I have been calling her Lexie since I was about six months pregnant.
