I'm starting to a write a story, problem is, I can't come up with a name for the main charactor.

The story is set in the early 90's so around 1992-1993.
The main Charactor is an 18 year old singer, she is Italian-Irish, born is New Jersey but raised in Boston for most of her life.
I picture her dark haired, light eyed and light skinned.

I like names that are not to common, not to to girly either, I'll take any and all suggestions though.
For some reason I've been thinking about "Valentina" I like it, but I'm not stoked about it.

the first name i thought of was shannon..i guess because of the irish part.

i think the only reason i don't like it is because i know someone with the name so i automatically think of her.
