Lola

So, what does everyone think of the name Lola? I've become quite smitten with it recently. My only reservations regarding it are that, first of all, it feels like it should be a nickname. I checked around online, and I've found that it's commonly used as a nickname for Dolores, which I really, really am not fond of. Secondly, it is very much a Spanish name, and I am very much not Hispanic. Would that seem "weird" or "off" to you guys?

And, just as a standard disclaimer - I am not pregnant, nor do I plan on having children any time soon. I just love names. A lot.

I love it. I'm sure there are other names that it could be used as a nn for -- Elodie, Chloe... what else has a "lo" sound in it?

Yeah, it's kind of celebrity trendy, but it's still a nice spunky name.
