Are there any names you love but would never use because of the meanings? For example, Cameron. I love the name but it means "bent/crooked nose" so my husband says no. And how about seasonal names? What are your thoughts on these? For example, would you name a baby Autumn if she was born in Spring? My main reason for asking is because my husband and I finally agree on a middle name for baby #4, "Noel"  but it means "born on Christmas" or just "Christmas" depending on where you look, but baby is due in June. lol  I'm sure it could still work and in the end it's our decision but I think hormones have the best of me at this point, so opinions are wanted :)  Thanks!

I agree that masculine names on girls just doesn't work... but I don't think in every case people who name their daughter Summer when she's born in autumn are naming them that because they wish their daughter was born in summer.

A lot of people like names just for how they look and sound, and most of the people I come across don't know the meanings of many names anyway.

I agree with you and I like alot of names too just for the look and sound, but I guess the meanings of names hold more significance for me, and so I prefer to know what the meaning is before deciding if I want it on a name list, and if I don't like the meaning, no matter how nice I think the name is, I just can't see the sense in using it anyway. After-all, it's not the parent choosing the name who has to live with the name, it's their child.
