How do you pronounce Delia? I've heard it several ways.

Right now, I love the names Cyrus and Fletcher.

Cyrus makes me think of the movie "Con Air" (1997) and Fletcher reminds me of the movie "Fletch" (1985).

Delia, to me, is "deel-yuh"

well, the store "Delia's" prounces it Deal-ee-uhs, so theres deal-ee-uh and then theres dell-ee-uh and I'm guessing theres losers out there that pronounce it dell-i-ah. haha ew.

I've only ever heard a long "ee" in Delia. It could be DEEL-yuh or DEE-lee-uh, depending on where you're from or just how fast you're saying the name. I can't see much difference between the two, honestly.

I like Cyrus, but Fletcher doesn't really do it for me.

Deal-e-ah is the way I've always heard it.

I kind of like Fletcher.

I've heard Delia as either two syllables (deal-ya) or three (deal-ee-ah). I personally prefer the three syllable pronunciation since I think of it as a shortening of Cordelia.

which is funny because I pronounce Cordelia as three syllables...cor-Deel-ya...same with Amelia--3 syllables,

but I would also pronounce Delia with 3 syllables...Deel-ee-ah. Maybe I just have a thing for 3 syllable names :-p.

Dee-Lee-Uh. I love it...as i love pretty much all names that end in 'Lia' but it is perhaps slightly too old fashioned.

Cyrus is cool, Fletcher reminds me of being sick.. not sure why.

Deal-Yah

don't like cyrus, has an evil sound to it... Fletcher is kinda catchy. But I think I'd be more apt to use it as a family nickname then has someones real name.. :)

There are "losers" who pronounce it "Dell-ee-a." They are Hispanics, and they live in the countries below the US. Sheesh.
