i've been wanting to make this post for awhile now. basically it'll be members asking others: how is [name] pronounced?. it's not really a post asking how you prefer to pronounce a name..it's just that there are some names that i really do not know how to pronounce whatsoever and i figured that i'm not alone in this. i thought this could be helpful.

so i'll list mine and you list yours. hopefully we can help each other out. :]

rhiannon? (idk if it's REE-ann-inn or RYE-ann-inn)



also, if your name gets mispronounced often or if you know of names that are often mispronounced, post them here.

my example: my name is hana. it's not pronounced like hannah. it's more like HAH-nuh. it rhymes with nirvana. i get called hannah all the time. =/ that's not my name!! so, if you meet a 'hana', don't call her hannah! :]

My name is K'lyssa. I don't think it's a name that's too difficult to spell or pronounce, but..apparently it is.

It's pronounced Cuh-liss-uh, but I usually get anything from KIE-liss-uh, Kay-liss-uh, Klissa to people who openly admit they have no idea how to say it.

..and spelling? Let's not even go there.

Apostrophes always throw me off. If you told me your name was pronounced like Cuh-liss-uh, I'd probably spell it like Calissa or something, and when I read it the first time, I totally thought klie-ssa and then thought, wait, that can't be right! And it wasn't. :)
