i've been wanting to make this post for awhile now. basically it'll be members asking others: how is [name] pronounced?. it's not really a post asking how you prefer to pronounce a name..it's just that there are some names that i really do not know how to pronounce whatsoever and i figured that i'm not alone in this. i thought this could be helpful.

so i'll list mine and you list yours. hopefully we can help each other out. :]

rhiannon? (idk if it's REE-ann-inn or RYE-ann-inn)



also, if your name gets mispronounced often or if you know of names that are often mispronounced, post them here.

my example: my name is hana. it's not pronounced like hannah. it's more like HAH-nuh. it rhymes with nirvana. i get called hannah all the time. =/ that's not my name!! so, if you meet a 'hana', don't call her hannah! :]

My name is Julianne. Now, WHY would you call that 'Julian, Julie, Juliannie, Jillian'? WHY?!

Julie + Anne = Julianne.

I get Julian the most. If I was a boy and my mom named me Julian but spelt it like Julianne, I would be seriously pissed, alright? I mean, how can you see 'anne' and not think FEMALE?!

That was my physics teacher in high school, one time. He was calling out attendance, and he was like 'Juliannie?' And I was like 'JULIANNE!' I was mortified lol. Granted, it was only once, so it was probably just a slip up (mostly he got me and my friend Justine's names mixed up 8-/) but still. Seriously? Juliannie? If my parents had named me that... oh, my God. Luckily, my parents have brains lol.
