I've known of a few people whose names have started with 'Mc'. What do you think of these names in general? Are there any you like?

I've come across:
McKenna
McHale (pronounced like mick-HALE)
McCall (f)

I have a McKenna in my 2nd grade class this year. I love the idea of the name, however, phonetically is irks me. Clearly they are going for the pronunciation to be Muh-Kenna....beautiful BUT technically "Mc" is said Mick...as in my last name McAdams (said Mick-Adams) or in the name McHale said Mich-Hale. So Muh-Kenna should be said Mick-Kenna.

Nothing about the spelling McKenna should properly be pronounced MUH-kenna.

i'll admit it, i really do like some of them. i'm not a big fan of jackson or some others, but i do love harper, emerson and beckett.

hmm. that's intereting. i guess the way you say it depends on where you're from? i usually pronounce the "mc" part as more of a "mih" or "mick" sound rather than a "muh".
