Although Baby is sending me decidedly female vibes, I've been trying to come up with at least a few boy's names I like. The problem is there are a few girls names that I just adore, while boy names all just sound alright to me. But here's the list anyway-
Westley or Wesley Michael (which do you all like better?)
Caleb Michael
and I don't know what anyone else will think about this but I just love the name Gilbert (as in Gilbert Blythe, from Anne of Green Gables) so Gilbert Michael- but would that be mean? It seems like it would be easy to make fun of, possibly.
Thanks!

Wesley is alright, and Micheal makes a great middle name, but how about these names (not my tastes, but sound like the names you like?), hope it helps :)!

Cain
Christopher
Corin
Curtis
Duncan

And Gilbert is mean. I just don't think it's a nice name at all. Might make for a strong middle name, but as a first, there's a lot better choices.

As soon as you said Gilbert, before I moved on to the rest of the sentence, I was like, awwww.... Jonathan Crombie in AOGG... I love it, lol.

I can't decide if I like Caleb or Wesley better though! both are nice.
Gil isn't so bad, but Gilbert is just nerdy. but like someone else said, it would make a good middle name! Wesley Gilbert perhaps?

except...
somewhere a few years back, Leonardo DiCaprio portrayed the mentally retarded boy in "What's Eating Gilbert Grape" and he did such a good job that whenever I see/hear the name Gilbert, I can hear Leo going "Gilbeeeert!"
(Great movie btw)
Blythe would be a cute middle name for a girl, but you have those picked out...
Westley is okay. If you keep the "t" the kid will be correcting people the rest of his life. Wesley is okay. Michael is okay. Caleb is okay. See, I'm not excited about those names either.
Any other literary male characters you like?

I don't know about other literary male characters. I love Atticus from To Kill A Mockingbird, but really don't care for the name. I'd really like to find a name that isn't popular, but doesn't sound made up. I guess that may be what everyone's looking for.
p.s. Cute puppy!

Harper Wesley is nice. Or flip it.
re: p.s. Thanks, she's my girl. Her name is Halo, after the game.

But, that said, I'm not a fan of the name Wesley, really.
I love Caleb.
Gilbert is a pretty popular name around here (AZ), mostly with Mexicans. I think its nice. Its actually my (white) boss' middle name. heh.

On the Wesley/Westley debate: I find Westley very difficult to say. I like Wesley though. Another Princess Bride fan!

Ruby Belle
Georgia Grace(?maybe)
or
Elinore (not sure on the middle names of the last two, because they're just in case Baby is born decidedly NOT a Ruby.)
