RPG-character names

Is this kinda off-topic becuase it's not really about BABY names? I hope not so! Anyway, I admit I'm a real messageboard-rpg-freak and thus I have well not loads, but at least quite a few characters for which I had to choose names. I'll give you the list in a moment and I'd love to know what you think about them and if in your opinion they fit the character (I'll give you a short description of everyone!). So here's the list:


Raven Corell-Montague (Scottish; depressed goth girl nowadays)
Laure Dumont (French; distracted mute girl nowadays)
Angèle Charline Girardin (French; teenage genious from a rich and loving family background nowadays)
Virginia Johansson (Swedish; very poor and homeless orfan girl in the Victorian Age)
Ak'ilah Ja'nan (Egyptian; very well studied archeologist woman nowadays) --> a-KEE-la ee-a-NAN
Mabel Mercer (British; shy and deistic servant girl in the Victorian Age)


So what do you think of those names? Do they fit? And do you have any rpg-characters aswell? If so what are their names?

I shy away from using the name 'Raven', especially in RPGs, but otherwise I think all of your names are great.

My characters (all for the same game, a boarding school/supernatural/mystery RPG):

Danny Williams (freshman, bizarre trumpet-playing gymnast)
Sam Pryce (junior, snarky newspaper deputy editor)
Malcolm Rayne (senior, hockey goalie and baseball pitcher/white knight)
Peter Nevin (history teacher)
Dylan "Hollywood" Sheridan (senior, son of a movie star, obligatory psychotic jackass [based off of Logan from Veronica Mars])
Victor "Vico" Ortolani (detective)
