RPG-character names

Is this kinda off-topic becuase it's not really about BABY names? I hope not so! Anyway, I admit I'm a real messageboard-rpg-freak and thus I have well not loads, but at least quite a few characters for which I had to choose names. I'll give you the list in a moment and I'd love to know what you think about them and if in your opinion they fit the character (I'll give you a short description of everyone!). So here's the list:


Raven Corell-Montague (Scottish; depressed goth girl nowadays)
Laure Dumont (French; distracted mute girl nowadays)
Angèle Charline Girardin (French; teenage genious from a rich and loving family background nowadays)
Virginia Johansson (Swedish; very poor and homeless orfan girl in the Victorian Age)
Ak'ilah Ja'nan (Egyptian; very well studied archeologist woman nowadays) --> a-KEE-la ee-a-NAN
Mabel Mercer (British; shy and deistic servant girl in the Victorian Age)


So what do you think of those names? Do they fit? And do you have any rpg-characters aswell? If so what are their names?

I shy away from using the name 'Raven', especially in RPGs, but otherwise I think all of your names are great.

My characters (all for the same game, a boarding school/supernatural/mystery RPG):

Danny Williams (freshman, bizarre trumpet-playing gymnast)
Sam Pryce (junior, snarky newspaper deputy editor)
Malcolm Rayne (senior, hockey goalie and baseball pitcher/white knight)
Peter Nevin (history teacher)
Dylan "Hollywood" Sheridan (senior, son of a movie star, obligatory psychotic jackass [based off of Logan from Veronica Mars])
Victor "Vico" Ortolani (detective)

Chloe Snakestress (last name not made by me, her sister was a character made by my best friend at the time): Half vamp, half goddess and sister to Bliskin. She's very wild but the sweeter of the two sisters. they're irish twins (born exactly one year apart, chloe a minute before midnight making her lighter and bliskin a minute after maker her darker) Chloe, brunette and blue-eyed, is ever-so-fond of sharp pointy things and Bliskin, blonde and blue-eyed, is fond of guns.
Raelynn Edana: half elf, half she (type of faerie) and a pirate. she's cute as a button, generous, graceful and sweet, but she can kick your ass like no one's business.
Teiraru: Character for a comic between friends that never went anywhere. A totally psycho nurse in this hospital that kills much more patients than it saves. She's so cute it's almost scary. Wait, actually it IS scary. She is fond of oversized syringes and squealing in excitment. She's an ex thief who was very skilled at her job.

I don't know if you knew this, but Virginia is a girl, so her last name should be (assuming you're following traditional Swedish practices) Johansdotter. Johan's daughter. The way you have it now, Johansson, is Johan's son. Virginia, son of Johan, doesn't sound quite right :)
